Hangzhou Yinghuang Studio City is located in Hangzhou’s West-Yuhang District, about 13km from the famous West Lake. It is surrounded by a large number of tourism resources, development zones and residential areas. One of the most famous sites in the area - XiXi Wetland - is located within 5km of the site. Other surrounding attractions include the Lingyin Temple, Longjing Park, Song Heritage City, WuChao Mountain National Forest Park etc.

The layout of this project is based on the large scale environment connecting small scale open spaces. Many different scale open spaces are spread around the whole area which brings better permeability to the venues and links the whole system. These include the large scale of Wetland Park, waterways, activities square; Middle scale of the landscape of streets and axis, green nodes; Small scale of neighborhood streets, lanes and so on. They increase the interests in public space and the overall value of the site. The site will provide various areas for different activities such as large festival events, commercial activities and interaction sites for visitors.
