The island of Dong'ao is located in the northwest part of the Wanshan Archipelago, covering an area of 4.65 square kilometers. It has the potential to become a unique tourist destination. Currently, it has become a well-known tourist island in Zhuhai, often experiencing "fully booked" situations during the peak tourism season. The first phase of the developed and operational CLUBMED hotel has not only attracted many high-end tourists to Dong'ao Island but has also further enhanced the island's image.

The planning and design fully explore the natural environment and cultural resources of Dong'ao Island. Relying on the verdant mountain, wedding and blessing areas as well as mountain and sea leisure areas are constructed. The layout of the three bays—Nanshan Bay, Daxiaozhu Bay, and Dong'ao Bay—provides rich waterfront vacation and comprehensive tourism functions. The project aims to create an active new resort tourism industry chain centered around Dong'ao Island. Starting with the creation of a comfortable and pleasant environmental space, the design team has crafted distinct architectural images to cultivate a rich atmosphere of leisure and vacation. Conceptual planning and design have been applied to the overall spatial structure, land layout, architectural styles and scales, development intensity, traffic organization, environmental landscapes, etc., for Dong'ao Island.
