The Marriott Hotel is located on the northernmost mountainous bay of Dongao Island. The project based facing to the sea with mountain at the back, with Xiaozhuwan to the west, Dazhuwan to the east, Honeymoon Pavilion to the south, and the most gentle waters of the north shore of Dong'ao Island. The layout and space planning of hotel is based on romantic and love as a main theme. The style itself is quiet and elegant, providing a romantic experience of a noble wedding getaway for guests



Story Telling- Love Forever Chained

The form of Marriott Hotel has an unforgettable and unique shape. The shape is taken from a set of concentric circles nested up and down: the upper semicircle is a sculptural building with a geographically distinctive and beautiful artistic conception; the lower semicircle is a softly stretched, mountain-like Landscape building. Looking from the sea, people can not help but thinking the ring of happiness, meaning sweet and romantic, happy family, and smooth life.


Integration of Smooth Morphology and Natural Scenery

At the beginning of the design, the designer researches the island's geographical and meteorological features of the project, the landscape changes on the mountain, and the needs of the luxury resort experience to propose the design theme of “Romantic Adventure”by penetrating the design of the entire hotel area in a special way with combination of nature. The hotel building is on the mountain, starting from the lowest point of the beach near Xiaozhuwan and hovering up to the highest point of the mountain, creating a scene where natural mountain and artificial design are symbiotic and interspersed. Whether it's the architectural experience of entering the Peak Lobby to the beach room, or the outdoor leisure experience from the Sunset Terrace Bar to the Hanging Mountain Wedding Hall to the semi-buried pool by the beach, it is closely linked to the romantic story, giving the hotel a unique Brand positioning.
